I have built this site to quickly share materials with other educators attempting to teach earth sciences to students with visual impairments. The site is not intended to be a complete description of each concept or phenomena but does include ideas for adapting many difficult concepts for non-visual learners. As you navigate through the site you will find lesson plans, links to materials, and a reference reading list for adapting 100 level introductory physical geography material for students with visual impairments.
As a note I use McKnight's Physical Geography: A Landscape Appreciation (Pearson Education Inc.) as the textbook for my class so I will generally follow the order of that text however the materials should be easily adapted to any introductory physical geography textbook.
